Mission Statement

We seek to reach out to and embrace the USD and surrounding communities with the gift and challenge of God’s unconditional love, cultivating young adults who will lead our community and world by planting seeds of love, nourished with compassion and harvested in justice.
CoffeeLoft.org is a creative spiritual community of kindness whose purpose is to live out the prophet Micah’s words: “What does the Lord require of you? To seek justice and love kindness and walk humbly with our God.”
Correlating Reconciling Statement:
In order to seek justice, love kindness and walk humbly; the CoffeeLoft.org community celebrates, affirms and embraces those who have often been marginalized because of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, gender identity/expression, family status or religious affiliation.
Some community members thrive on contact with others through our hospitality/outreach program. While others prefer a more intimate connection through our worship/seeking area. Some students seek God through service of others whether through physical needs of the body or seeking justice and diversity to feed the soul and spirit. Others express their spirit to our community through Coffee Loft by sharing art, music, and poetry.
